Isoa Kaloumaira interferes with Fiji TV news team
February 28, 2009
The chairman of Fiji TV is said to have sent a message to the Fiji TV One news team not to interview or air any Fijian Holdings Limited minority shareholders interviews on their TV One news segment. Some FHL shareholders who wanted to speak out on TV were told that an interview ban is placed on them.
Isoa’s interference has come about after an out-spoken shareholder and decorated military man, Sakiusa Raivoce, continues to speak out publicly about his concerns relating to the controversial BP South Pacific acquisition by FHL.
Isoa’s directive is causing a stir with many saying that Isoa represents his appointing authority, the junta, and what he did is another clear violation of freedom of the media to cover all sides of the story from all stakeholders and those concerned. They say that it is another reminder of how the junta and its supporters continue to gag the media from reporting opposing views to theirs, suppressing the publics freedom of speech and the media’s freedom to report.
And from this blog post, we can only hope that the Fiji TV news team will be bold enough to continue reporting the truth in a balanced, unbiased way.
Isoa Kaloumaira’s get-rich-quick scheme
February 28, 2009
Isoa Kaloumaira is the man who was removed as Fiji Developent Bank CEO by its board. There are talks that the Naisoro-led board pinned down Kaloumaira for non-performance. There are even some who say that the directive to sack Kaloumaira was from the then Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, who may have recognised that Kaloumaira was not the right person to push for the affirmative action development projects he promised in his SDL manifesto via the FDB. They say that Naisoro and his SDL supporters board were merely carrying out Qarase’s wishes.
Isoa launched a legal battle against the board for wrongful dismissal while Bovoro got the nod as the most suitable applicant to replace Isoa. Bovoro was a successful executive banker in an overseas development banking corporation but decided to give a shot at the FDB CEO’s job which he successfully got. He gave up that lucrative overseas job and returned to Fiji to take up his new job as FDB CEO.
Sources familiar with FDB’s history say that prior to his final day at work, Isoa Kaloumaira pleaded with his ex-Chairman Navi Naisoro to pay him out as he was not financially stable. They say that Naisoro and Kaloumaira concocted that the latter launch a legal battle against FDB which will pave the way for the Naisoro-led board to do an out of court settlement. Kaloumaira knew it was a winner and to make his legal battle look legit, he hired a New Zealand law firm to fight his case knowing full well that the bank was going to pay his legal fees as part of their pre-planned out of court settlement with the board.
These sources said that Naisoro was torn between Qarase and Kaloumaira who happened to be quite close to Kaloumaira. They said Naisoro was reluctant to fire Isoa but had to do it since the order was made from the top. And so the two men orchestrated this get-rich-quick scheme for Isoa who was later paid a cool $500,000 lump sum cash payment for an out of court settlement by the Naisoro-led FDB board to cover legal cost and damages.
With his $5000,000 cash in the bank,Isoa embarked on another new get-rich scheme. He started talking to some of his good friends close to Qarase to lobby him into another new job. And lobby they did which saw him appointed by the Qarase government as the CEO of their newly formed Fijian Trust Fund, the investment arm of the Great Council of Chiefs financed by the Ministry of Fijian Affairs, or in other words, the taxpayers of Fiji. They said Kaloumaira was in fact Qarase’s protege and that Qarase was eager to place him in a working environment more suitable to his not-so-assertive mannerisms.
Isoa Kaloumaira has continued on to be the military appointed Chairman of FHL, Chairman of Fiji TV, board director of Yasana Holdings Limited etc,etc.. Isoa continues to defy all odds with his many get-rich-quick schemes with his smart maneuverings. Isoa is probably a good example of a person who knows how to play his cards right while maintaining a low profile all the time. He knows how to make money from the system he works in and is one of the many who have benefitted immensely from the coup politiking culture in Fiji. And we say, all the best Isoa. Just make sure you don’t become another sacrificial lamb for Frank coz there will be no more lump sum cash payouts like that $500,000 you’re keeping very quiet about.
Media should dig deep into John Prasad’s business
February 28, 2009
Aiyaz Khaiyum has named his buddy, John Prasad as Chairman of the newly formed Fiji Water Authority. This makes two chairmanship role for ex-Fiji citizen John Prasad, the first being chairman of Fiji Development Bank and now this one.
So what exactly does John Prasad know about water and development bank money?
In an earlier post, we exposed John Prasad’s consultancy contract with Public Works Department. He and his other two New Zealand partners were tasked by the military junta to look into the water reticulation in Fiji. They have made hundreds and thousands of dollars from it.
John Prasad has scored yet again with the extension of his consultancy role to that of being chairman of the same entity that hired him. So here, we have this disturbing breach of governance fundamentals where a consultant whose recommendations to the junta about water reticulation in Fiji has been promoted to be the vetting and appointing authority for his own recommendations. It sucks doesn’t it?
This is indeed a very dangerous precedence right here where the checks and balances required in the utilization of public funds has been compromised. It means that PWD’s water reticulation system is now controlled and can be easily manipulated by John Prasad, chairman and consultant of the Fiji Water Authority. The word corruption and more corruption rings louder each day in that juntawood island.
Meanwhile, the media should dig deeper into John Prasad’s fuzzy background and consultancy business. The media must put on their investigative journalism skills and follow up how he is tying up all his Fiji Water Authority consultancy and chairman role to his position as chairman of FDB right through to his business account in New Zealand.
John Prasad is amassing his wealth in Fiji, thanks to his good friend, Aiyaz Khaiyum.
Sereana Qoro on a PR frenzy to cover up failed BP deal
February 27, 2009
FHL’s Managing Director, Sereana Qoro, is busy with her skit shows in juntawood. She is drumming up insignificant things her office is playing around with to distract peoples attention from the mess that she has accumulated over just a few months since she took over office.
Her latest 6 months FHL group consolidated unaudited financial report is hardly anything to be excited about. Everybody knows that those results are not of her doing. She is reaping the good fruits of what the ousted board and management sowed in their RB Patel acquisition.
Journalists should ask Sereana to outline the breakdown of the performance of each FHL subsidiary that made up that consolidated unaudited result for more transparency. And that is exactly where the truth lies. Her Basic Industries Limited subsidiary is the worst performing one, being subsidized by the good results of RB Patel, but of course she will not highlight that because it will only expose her incompetence.
Now, she is gahgah about the laptop prizes FHL has given to a selected indigenous Fijian students. Why only native Fijians Sereana? FHL Unit Trust is available to all races across the board so why discriminate against other top students from other races? Isn’t that racial prejudice? Hey Shaista Shameem, what’s your take there? Nah, forget it. We don’t wanna hear it.
February has come and gone, yet there is still no money to fund the deal. Waz up Sereana? We weren’t born yesterday dude so tell the truth.
Tell the public that FHL has not been able to meet the Sale and Purchase Agreement deadline of 1 March 2009. Tell the public and FHL shareholders that BP South Pacific now have all the legal powers to crystalize FHL’s security held against this failed deal. What a bummer of a deal that was!
Epeli Nailatikau admits regime is failing
February 26, 2009
That dishonorable, corrupt Epeli Nailatikau has admitted to some sources that Frank’s military regime he serves is failing. He said that the junta has lost the plot and that Frank is no longer in control of the beast he has nurtured.
Nailatikau is the interim Minister for Fijian Affairs. He was the unpopular Vice President nominee who failed to secure the job. As Frank’s preferred choice for the VP position, Nailatikau was also instrumental in killing democracy in Fiji by assisting Frank with his coup idea.
But now that he sees Frank struggling to tame the coup beast, he, as usual, is reverting to his disloyal habits by showing remorse and understanding towards those opposed to the coup. We say, it’s too late Epeli Nailatikau. You are also tagged with Frank’s team and you are gonna get it!
FHL shareholders should take the Board to court
February 26, 2009
That FHL buy-out of BP Oil has fallen through!
Isoa Kalouimara, Sereana Qoro, Colonel Aziz Mohammed, Padam Lala, Michael Makasiale, Radike Qereqeretabua, Iowane Naiveli and Isirami Baya are FHL board members who should now be taken to task for carelessly approving a non-goer failed deal that has already cost the shareholders $20million non-refundable deposit plus another $10million for legal fees, financial consultancy fees, and other sunk costs associated with this lavish but woobly buy-out.
FHL individual A class shareholders should now start working towards launching a law suit against their irresponsible board of directors. They have failed to exercise duty of care on behalf of the shareholders and have failed to uphold their role as directors. They should be severely punished and shareholders should go after their personal estates as well.
In essence, what the board has done is throw away more than $30 million dollars of FHL shareholders money just like that. That money could have been better utilized if it was paid back to a legitimate government of the day to square off the $20million start-up capital plus interest given to FHL by the Alliance government to clear FHL from any further mud slinging with political rat bags.
FHL shareholders have the right to hang these individuals and they had better get started now. Isn’t that what the coup was all about? Clean-up corruption?
Tabaleka discriminated by Frank & his TFL Board
February 26, 2009
We can report here that Tabaleka’s dismissal was based on a verdict of “guilty by association”. Sources close to the regime say that Frank, Felix Anthony and his military appointed TFL board members all agreed to pull the rug on Tabaleka after they found out that Tabaleka was giving legal work to Howards law firm, owned by pro-democracy advocates, Graham Leong and Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi.
They say that Tabaleka sought legal advise from Howards on TFL’s proposal to the Commerce Commission. The proposal was drafted in a manner that promoted the best interest of TFL. There was nothing wrong about the content of that proposal. It was the choice of Tabaleka’s law firm for a legal opinion on that proposal that didn’t sit well with Frank and his TFL board puppets. Frank ordered that no business from any government ministry or government-owned entities be directed to anti-coup law firms like Howards, Munroe Leys and others. The same applies to businesses of other pro-democracy advocates or those deemed to be close to the SDL government.
Such is the childish decision-making that goes on in Frank’s regime that anybody seen to disagree with his coup will be victimized personally and professionally.
Shaista Shameem’s bluff catching up on her
February 26, 2009
The hopelessly unethical Shaista Shameem has lost whatever little respect she gained from her politically engineered Chandrika Prasad case. She has become a laughing stock in the worldwide legal fraternity. She has become too entangled in her endless pursuit for power and glory compromising her ability to be able to differentiate right from wrong. She has become dangerously possessed by her own self-imposed interpretation of what human rights is all about. She thinks that her understanding of the subject is a celestial endorsement of some kind that she alone is anointed to preach, even if it condones the violation of Fiji peoples freedom, liberty and respect for life.
Shaista Shameem’s wrong mind set, unforgiveness, desire for revenge and other ugly attitudes she carries with her in her memory bank has turned her into a very vain and bitter soul. She accuses everyone of being corrupt, yet the so-called perfect democratic clone she is moulding in Frank’s regime is turning out to be plagued with worse off corruption virus.
She seems to be at odds with everyone who challenges her regime-biased mind set which she trumpets as a non-discriminating regime. Yet, she continues to tend to her warped memory that indigenous Fijians always marginalise Indo-Fijians in every way and form she can think of with no appreciation whatsoever to the fact that it is the hospitality of these natives that gave her Afghanistan father a second chance to move away from that war-torn country.
It is the beautiful, peaceful Fiji where Shaista Shameem was first conceived. Things would have been very dfferent if she was conceived in Afghanistan. Fiji gave her the freedom and liberty she knows now. Imagine what it would have been for Shaista Shameen if her father remained in Afghanistan.
So Shaista, learn to appreciate the goodness that Fiji has given you and respect the rights of the indigenous Fijians. They respect yours and your existence. They have embraced you, your culture and your mind set into their communities eventhough yours are totally opposing to theirs.Treat everybody equally. Don’t try to be over-smart because you only end up looking silly. And stop lying to yourself. Your arguments, reasonings, ratinalizations, justifications and denials is based on the lie that you have been doing the best you can with the racial prejudice burden you have to bear, that you have been hurt too much to love indigenous Fijians, that you deserve to see others suffer for the sufferings faced by poor Indo-Fijians yet you are silent on the masses of indigenous Fijians who live in worse off conditions.
Perhaps you should spend a year or so living in a village or settlement set-up with these kind of people Shaista. You’ll be surprised to see that they live a more peaceful and carefree life than you do even without all the fanciful material comforts you enjoy everyday. That your radical idea of extreme racial prejudices is a lie. Yours is an exaggerated version of it because many of them live peacefully together, helping each other out as brothers and sisters and respecting the others as friends for life.
So Shaista Shameem, be real and get down from your high horse. No one believes your bull dung any more.
Sugar daddy Chaudhry not doing enough for sugar industry
February 26, 2009
So Mahen sugar man, where the hell are you? The sugar industry is collapsing! Your political power base is falling! Your voters are struggling! But where the hell are you sugar daddy? Can you donate that $2million sitting pretty in your Sydney account to the helpless sugarcane farmers?
Sources from within say that Chaudhry has told Frank to bail out that fertilizing company and pump more millions into the rehabilitation of FSC if he wants his support in the upcoming political forum. Frank in return is of the view that Chaudhry must first show signs of being on his side before he can consider stealing more taxpayers money for his own longevity.
Expect Mahendra Chaudhry to make more press appearances supporting Frank’s regime to defer elections for another 10 years to allow them to pilfrage some more.
Also expect Chaudhry and his FLP party to work against SDL, NFP and other minority parties during the political forum. Chaudhry and FLP will drag the forum in such a way to facilitate Frank’s longer reign in power.
Good decision FNPF! Shame on you FHL Board!
February 26, 2009
Bravo to FNPF for turning down FHL’s request to finance their BP Oil acquisition. They would have gotten their bottoms fried if they had approved FHL’s poorly crafted mega-deal.
Sereana Qoro, her Chairman Isoa Kaloumaira and the rest of the FHL Board of Directors have absolutely no idea what they are doing and as we have said before, their motive was all based on revenge against the previous Board and management which common sense says will always be detrimental to the interest of its shareholders.
Our sources have confirmed that FNPF’s decision to back away from the FHL deal was also due largely to other main commercial banks unwillingness to participate in the syndication of funds claimed by Sereana Qoro. These banks are more sharp with their due diligence when it comes to undertaking a risk assessment on FHL’s poorly thought-out BP buy-out. They also know that FHL’s current Board and executive management team just simply don’t have the business smarts and shrewdness that was reminiscient of the ousted Board and its executive team.
It means that the credit worthiness of FHL’s current Board is zilch. And we say, of course FHL’s Board has no integrity as appointees of the military regime. Even it’s Managing Director Sereana Qoro is a well known disorganised accountant who has a long trail of bounced cheques. Her personal vehicle financed by Merchant Finance when she was a Board Director was on the verge of being repossessed and put under mortgagee sale for non-payment. Surely, if you have a person with her kind of pathetic money management skills unable to manage her own personal affairs, how on earth could she cope with managing millions of shareholders dollars?
Sereana has proven to be a reckless, incompetent and over-rated person. Her choice to push the BP Oil deal with the Board shows just how stupid she is. And the FHL Board is just as stupid and incompetent as their Managing Director for not throwing the BP Oil paper out the window when Sereana first proposed it. And in your face too Frank for putting so much faith in your non-commercial bush lawyer Aziz Mohammed. Now that he has failed to deliver with his FHL promise, what next lie will you accept from him?
As for FNPF, we say thank you for saying nay to FHL. You have saved millions of members funds from an already flopped buy-out plan.
Vigilantes a show of no confidence for Teleni and Epeli Ganilau
February 26, 2009
Heads would have rolled if the Fiji Times page 1 story happened during the term of a democratically appointed government. Police Commish Esala Teleni and his line interim Minister Epeli Ganilau would have been dismissed. The hiring of vigilantes by taxpaying law-abiding citizens is a show of no public confidence for Teleni and Ganilau. They have failed to carry out their law enforcement role “mandated” by the Pressie. Teleni and Ganilau should be sacked.
But not so under a military government. They are not bothered about the citizens safety, security and prosperity. It is their own safety, security and prosperity they are concerned about. And this is the problem with having a militarised state who are not accountable to anybody except themselves. They have become law onto themselves and will continue to indulge in their illegitimate behavior unless the people of Fiji wake up from their long sleep.
But on the other hand, perhaps hiring vigilantes is the way to go for Fiji. The more the merrier with each gangster looking after their own suburban turf . Enter their territory and you become a dead meat. Vigilantes might become a good match for Frank’s military, most of whom are either ex-vigilantes themselves who can relate to these surburban warriors.
So why are people still paying taxes when they can’t get proper policing, continue to face water disruptions, drive over lovo-sized potholes, and live in fear that they will be terrorised by thugs when night falls?
Fiji is a law-less nation. It has indeed become Frank’s bananarama island.
Frank’s coup unpacific
February 25, 2009
Fiji’s Frank Bainimarama says that the Samoan Prime Minister’s truth-telling is very unpacific. But guess what Frank, your coup of 2000 and again 2006 is the apex of being unpacific.
Of course Samoa’s PM was saying the obvious which is why everybody concurs with every word he said about your cowardly regime. He is able to say such things with confidence because Samoa has proven that it is a politically stable and matured country who can do business without coups Frank.
Read between the lines Frank! Samoa will be the new hub of the Pacific leaving you and your counsellors to turn Fiji as the Zimbabwe of the Pacific.
Marika Vada backstabs Tabaleka for the regime
February 25, 2009
TFL newly appointed Acting Chief Operating Officer, Marika Vada, has been identified by TFL staff as the backstabbing regime boy who is the key man working against his boss Tabaleka. Sources say that it was under his advice that Tabaleka was told to go on leave promising Felix Anthony and his military appointed Board that he was capable of taking over the operational and technical side of things.
Marika Vada is a well know coup apologist. He accepted the military appointment as Merchant Finance Board member and has been advising the military regime on telephonic surveillance matters. It was Marika Vada who gave Aiyaz Khaiyum the idea to accuse Australia and New Zealand of listening in to the regime’s telephone conversations, eventhough Aiyaz had no evidence to substantiate his baseless claims.
Marika Vada is considered as a strategic coup supporter given his access to Fiji’s landline infrastrusture. He is working for Frank’s regime together with TFL’s military appointed board. It means that Fiji’s telephone network is controlled by Frank’s junta leaving members of the public vulnerable to the exact same accusation Aiyaz threw at Australia and New Zealand. The junta is listening in to everyone’s conversation so be more careful!
As for Marika Vada, we won’t be surprised at all if he becomes CEO of TFL very soon.
Narube’s talk a warning bell
February 25, 2009
Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor, Savenaca Narube’s words must be taken very seriously. His economic gloom pronouncement is becoming more frequent with his words of warnings getting louder and clearer with every press statement.
Fiji’s interim PM and Minister of Finance, Frank Bainimarama, has proved that he and the military regime he represents are the worst economic money managers. Frank has failed to impress anybody with his public finance skills but instead has proved that he is the most corrupt and incompetent interim PM and Minister of Finance.
Late last week, Narube sent out a statement explaining Fiji’s liquidity and its mechanics as of then. His explanation was simple and to the point to dispel any confusion that coup supporter Mahendra Chaudhry is unsuccessfully trying to do by laying blame on RBF instead of his and Frank’s coup factor. Chaudhry’s tired boring attempts to point at others for his shortcomings is working against him and Frank.
As far as many are concerned, it is not the world recession but the coup of 2006 that was the catalyst in Fiji’s dire financial situation now. Frank should take heed of Narube’s calls and step aside for a caretaker government to ignite the frailing Fiji economy.
Good on you Tabaleka!
February 25, 2009
Felix Anthony is a confused man who has lost sight on who his real master is, Frank or the union members he represents. He is a Board member of FNPF with the help of his unionist role which has also put him into the ATH Board (majority owned by FNPF) and TFL (a subsidiary of ATH).
Anthony is Chairman of the controversial Natadola Resorts owned by FNPF and is also Chairman of TFL. His TFL Board’s decision to send its CEO, Taito Tabaleka on leave, for his honest submission to the Commerce Commission that didn’t augur well with the Board is already a sign of poor leadership by Anthony.
As Chairman, Felix Anthony should empower his executive management team to do what is best for TFL. Tabaleka and his team are the best at what they do. They know the ins and the outs of their telephony business and should be allowed to apply their skill sets in growing the business.
We are glad Tabaleka has stuck to his principled decision not to give in to the junta’s TFL Board. Tabaleka’s reputation has just been allevated once again for his stand to walk away from the junta’s bully-boy leadership style and we salute him for that.
The common factor between Vunibobo and Isoa Gavidi
February 24, 2009
Remember that Isoa Gavidi dude who lasted only 4months serving as Frank’s Permanent Secretary Foreign Affairs? He was a guy many thought highly of but all that came to naught when he showed his real side when he accepted Frank’s offer to serve under his junta. And where is Isoa Gavidi now? Somewhere in Colo-i-Suva forest chasing after the reputation he has lost for ever.
Now we hear the white sly fox Vunibobo wanting to make another of his grand entry via the barrel of Frank’s gun as Minister for Foreign Affairs.
And what’s common between these two men Vunibobo and Isoa Gavidi?
Both are highly unprincipled corrupt men. Both are former civil servants and diplomats. Both are broke which is why they have been easily bought by Frank and his stolen money from the taxpayers kitty. Both are board members of that APRIL company, the real developers of the Natadola Resorts now claimed by Felix Anthony and his FNPF goons. And with the latter, one begins to understand why these two APRIL board members could so easily switch allegiance to the regime that killed their company’s very existence. Were they the traitors from within the APRIL board of directors that sabotaged the company’s interest by playing into Frank’s FNPF Board? Or are we witnessing an orchestrated scam like that devised by Vunibobo when the state-owned National Bank of Fiji came crashing down under his watch as Minister Finance in Rabuka’s SVT government?
Vunibobo a disgrace
February 24, 2009
So what new or good thing will Vunibobo bring to Fiji’s table as its interim Minister of Foreign Affairs? Nothing much except fill his empty pocket.
Vunibobo is another useless man cum parasite, sucking off Frank’s coup carcass to stay alive.
Vunibobo’s years as a civil servant, parliamentarian, diplomat, and now a coup supporter willing to serve under tyrant Frank is the culmination of what Vunibobo is all about – an unethical man who will sell his soul cheaply for a few of Frank’s dime and a false belief that joining in with Frank can give him the upper hand to make a difference.
We say, shame on you Vunibobo!! You are an embarassement to Fiji. You have been exposed to many things locally and abroad under the virtue of being a servant to Fiji. Fiji gave you and your family all the opportunities you enjoyed throughout your life Vunibobo, yet you still see it fit to denounce Fiji’s democratic principles and its sovereignty by bowing down to Frank the coupster? What a waste of Fiji resources invested on you Vunibobo!
Vunibobo, you are a disgrace. You have no honour and may the same fate that awaits your Frank god smite you too.
Fiji hotel workers despise Frank & Co.
February 22, 2009
The hotel and resort workers are the real humble and kind frontliners who give the true Fiji bula experience to those visiting Fiji. But sadly for them, Frank’s coup has reduced their working hours with some even sent home due to the weak occupancy rate at Fiji’s resorts.
They were also part of the statistics that was ravaged by the recent Nadi flood and some complain that they are yet to receive any form of flood relief asistance from Frank’s junta. And how do they get even with Frank & Co. for their suffering?
We are told that many of these resort workers give Frank & Co. a hard time whenever they check-in to stay. A number of food and beverage staff have admitted spitting into Frank & Co.’s food and drinks before they are served. Others refuse to serve them or intentionally delay their orders.
Frank & Co. are bad news to these resort workers. They are fond of ordering good food and good wine without paying leaving the F&B staff hanging dry as they are required to pay their tables’ bill from their small pay pack. Those our sources spoke to say that they avoid serving Frank & Co.’s table for fear of non-payment with some even calling in sick if they know in advance that team Frank is in the house.
The latest incident happened during China’s VP brief visit. Sources said Frank, his wife Mary, Epeli Ganilau, his wife Ateca Mara , Epeli Nailatikau his wife Koila Mara and Aiyaz Khaiyum checked themselves into the new refurbished Sheraton Fiji on Thursday. China’s VP didn’t arrive until Saturday for his less than 24 hours stay in Fiji. Team Frank checked out on Tuesday. Why the long stay at Sheraton by Frank & Co. is obviously for the ladies to suntan, get their massage at the spa, wine and dine, and look pretty for their thieving husbands.
And as usual, sources say that dinners enjoyed together as a group by these tyrant coup couples and Aiyaz were not paid. The broke couples simply ordered the waiters to charge the Chinese delegation for their bills which was disputed by the Chinese. Later, the Chinese private secretary agreed to partly pay for the outstanding bill out of courtesy.
These sources also said that during previous visits by democratically appointed PM Qarase, the staff go out of their way to make Qarase’s stay enjoyable. His bodyguards were well looked after with free grog and food from the staff but not anymore with Frank & Co.
Resort workers loathe Frank and his junta soo much that having them around is always a pain and a half.
Frank skipped forum for some dose of hollywood
February 22, 2009
Samoa’s Prime Minister couldn’t have said things more clearer than what he said last week about nutty Frank. He like all other Pacific Forum Leaders were well briefed on where and what Frank was doing during their meeting at PNG in late Jan.
Frank didn’t want to experience what he did to many law-abiding pro-democracy citizens of Fiji whom he hauled to the QEB, stripped and talked down to in his bid to sush them up. He was really gonna get it from the Pacific Leaders should he have attended cause that was exactly how his side-kick, Aiyaz Khaiyum, felt after John Keys told him that he should be tried for abetting Frank’s coup.
Frank backed off from the high-profile meeting with the excuse that he was busy handing out expired flood relief food to the victims. That, he obviously did when the media were with him but guess where Frank was at the time of the meeting proper?
At village six watching movies with its coup apologist owner, Dev Damodar.
Frank takes up ex-CJ Fatiaki’s home
February 22, 2009
Frank and Mary are upgrading themselves to the double storey white house that was once home to ousted CJ Fatiaki at Muanikau. They just can’t wait to have a trial run at the miniature version of the real white house in Nasese where that frailing Pressie is.
They are probably tired of the same scenery they share with their neighbour which is the empty NZ High Commissioner’s official residence. Fighting with Helen Clarke and now John Key is getting boring for Frank. He wants to fight all the time so move he must.
Frank will be moving houses soon, next to the EU Head of Mission further down the road along Muanikau. Frank is probably on a mission to pick up a new battle with EU given that the sugar industry is dying a slow death without that much needed grant from EU they have stopped unless Fiji goes back to an election. He is after all a very hostile, loud and confrontational kinda neighbour that everyone dreads and we won’t be surprised if the EU Head will want out from that rented home of his to keep away from Frank the monster.
We have a feeling though that Frank’s decision to plant himself right next to the EU Head and also across from the US Embassy Defence Attache is a strategic move on his part to protect himself from any possible uprising or attack by angry locals who can rampage towards Frank’s residence in search of him. He is too exposed where he is right now with his front lawn meeting with the University of the South Pacific compound where out-spoken anti-coup students are based.
Our sources also told us that another major reason why Frank wants to get out from his current residence is because of the many old Fijian traditional men who continue to visit him there. As far as he is concerned, that house is haunted.
Ask the military officers who watch the guardhouse at the entrance leading up to Frank’s driveway. They will tell you stories about how Frank usually run down towards them with rage threatening to fire them on the spot for allowing old Fijian men into the house. They say that Frank’s outbursts, like Teleni’s ,is always full of foul words referring to their mother, father, brother, sister and their own reproductive organs. While Frank fires off with his uncensored tongue, the military officers have learnt to just take it all in and wait for him to cool off to tell him that there was never any old Fijian men they saw or allowed into the compound. These officers say that it is a recurring thing and that Frank is always scared to his wits everytime it happens.
The visiting old Fijian men is giving Frank many sleepless nights which is also another reason why the guy checks himself into the many top-end apartments in Suva, just to get away from being tormented and haunted by these old Fijian shadowy figures.
Creepy? Nah, just plain stupid as far as we are concerned. We think that it is all in Frank’s mind. He is insane in the membrane and is coup coup nut. A real nut case who needs a nut cracker to open him up.
