Thank you Frank for being there!
These are real images why the Pacific Leaders Forum must accept Frank’s deferment request. We agree with him that the people of Fiji need him right now to get things going. Different people have different agendas and with the environment that Fiji is in, we think Frank’s request is very reasonable.
He didn’t say he will not attend ever, but simply requested for a deferment which he rightly deserves.
We say, give Frank time to reach out to his people. He has the powers to get things rolling so that most who were affected get help. Perhaps this is the right moment for everyone to reflect and ponder on these truths – “God teaches men through suffering and uses distress to open their eyes. God sends rain to water the earth: he may send it to punish men, or to show them his favor.”
