Methodist Church gives spiritual guidance to the military regime
Our sources following the Methodist Church conference in the capital Suva say that its elders are standing firm not to accept the Fiji Labor Party authored People’s Charter, however, they have opened their arms to the military regime saying that they have already been forgiven and must repent of their sins and seek forgiveness for the suffering they have caused to the people of Fiji.
The Methodist Church have also advised the military to do what is right by returning Fiji to a caretaker government who will then effect all necessary processes to get the country back to a democratic election.
These sources say that the Methodist Church has offered spiritual support to the military and has reiterated the need that matters must be resolved in a Christian like manner and not in a confrontational one that has been the hallmark of the military regime. It is said that even Frank has requested that he be prayed over and that he is also seeking the help of his Methodist Church elders to help him out.
