Finau Mara not happy with his siblings
July 16, 2008
The eldest son of the late Ratu Kamisese is said to be upset about his sisters and younger brother’s involvement in the Dec 5th, 2006 coup. They are not in good terms and hardly talking.
Reliable sources say that Finau Mara, who was appointed by the military government as Fiji’s Ambassador to the United States of America, has refused to make the move saying that he won’t be pushed aside that easily by his siblings.
These sources report that the siblings are trying to remove Finau away from Fiji to pave the way for his younger brother and human rights violator, Ului Mara, to be Tui Nayau.
Ului is already successful in forcefully appointing himself as ChairmanĀ of the Lau Provincial Council. Now, with the continued support of his sisters, they are trying to do the dirt on their eldest brother Finau and to coup him too.
Finau is heardĀ to have said that he does not recognise Frank’s military government and will not accept the appointment to Washington under an illegal regime. Whether his words should be taken seriously or otherwise is another story. But he is not going anywhere at the moment and his uncooperative nature is driving Ateca, Koila and Ului up the wall.
