Two Fiji internet service providers (ISP), Connect and Vodafone are known to be prying into personal emails and tracking websites visited by certain individuals in an attempt to pin down anti-regime bloggers.

Connect’s CEO, Sharon Smith Johns and Vodafone CEO, Aslam Khan, are well known junta followers. Their allegiance was in full view when they both accepted Board appointments by Frank’s regime. Sharon as Chairperson of the struggling Fiji Audio Visual Commission succeeding another coup apologist Richard Broadbridge, and Aslam as Board Director of Air Pacific.

Word is that Frank and Leweni are concerned about the upsurge in blogging activities prompting them to call upon Sharon and Aslam to track down those behind the many anti-regime blogs that are active right now.

It was Sharon who abused her role at Connect to access email correspondences between Fiji Sun Publisher Russell Hunter and Columnist Victor Lal. She and others are also responsible for the extraction of email contents from the Howards law firm by intercepting their inbox and outbox contents from the comfort of her office. She controls all the dotcom.fj domain subscribers and has the capability to call up the activities of any Connect subscriber.

Unfortunately for her and Aslam, their spying is only limited to Fiji as they have absolutely no control in the dissemination of raw Fiji news from the rest of the world.
